Junghans Max Bill Handwound Watch
As one of the most extraordinary designers of the last century, the architect, painter, sculptor and product designer Max Bill left behind an extensive life’s work, including one of the most fascinating watch collections of recent decades.
Featuring a stainless steel case, choice of leather strap or stainless steel mesh Milanese bracelet, the slender Max Bill Handwound fits nicely under a dress shirt cuff, but still makes a statement with its domed crystal and 34mm case diameter. Choose from dials with Arabic numerals or minimalist hour markers. with luminescent indices at 3-6-9-12. Manual-winding movement enthusiasts often prefer these thinner, more slender watches that harken back to elegant dress watches of the past.
Fitted with Junghans’ calibre J805.1 manual movement with a 42-hour power reserve (based on the ETA 2801), and water-resistant to 30 meters, this is a luxury watch designed for everyday use. A hard plexiglass with a sicralan coating provides scratch resistance, while offering improved protection from UV rays and gives a deep gloss to the domed crystal.
